The rainy monsoon typically begins during the latter half of the year in the tropical Asian region. For countries residing in the equator, that’s normally around the corner after another six or so months of hot or dry weather. I remember a written piece for kids that explained what kind of weather to expect in each month — told in a rhyming fashion; and one part I vaguely remember was: “June brings lots of rain, and more rain in July and August again” (or something that went along those lines). The pattern may vary as the monsoon would also start in May and last until November.
